I can loose myself in layers and layers of snow on the twigs and branches.
The snow sits perfectly on the branches and twigs.
The cherry blossom hangs in the air.
All around is grey, but the white blossom is the first sign of spring.
The days are short, but the snow gives some light through the darkness.
In the Norwegian spring, the days are full of contrast, dark cold forests are pierced with bright blues skys.
The darkness recedes and the warmer weather softens the landscape.
The sunlight is caught in the leaves, but the darkness is closing in.
This was an Artists initiated project. The building was neglected and constantly getting graffitied on. For the local residents it was not a welcoming entrance to their road, so the artist asked permission to change the building .
This mural was painted to celebrate the opening of the new school in Kristiansand in 2008.
