The changing light across the city creates a different reality. The shapes in the landscape change as light moves and shadows build new structures.

Swans have started to appear in my work over the past year, influenced by recent events and a poignant memory of my father helping an injured swan. In Stavanger, the swans can appear in random places. In the painting, I want to convey the peculiarity of these events, construct a multidimensional scene and mix different realities together.

The swans have become symbolic representations for my emotions, and the responces I have to my everyday.
